WEEE Cyprus Ltd announces that on November 26, 2025, it received official authorization to manage the waste stream of photovoltaic panels on behalf of its members, which falls within the scope of household and non-household Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE).

The relevant license was issued by the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus and is available on the company’s website here.

This authorization further strengthens the role of WEEE Cyprus Ltd in the sustainable management of waste and in compliance with the applicable legislative framework, contributing significantly to environmental protection and the circular economy.

Following this development, all members importing photovoltaic panels into the Cypriot market, who are subject to obligations under the Waste Laws of 2011 to 2022 and the Waste (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations of 2015 to 2021 are requested to proceed with signing the relevant amendment agreement.
