As part of the European Week for Waste Reduction, WEEE Cyprus carried out an electrical and electronic waste collection initiative, in collaboration with MAS Tseri Toumbas supermarket.

The initiative took place from 24 to 30 November 2025 at the Toumbas supermarket in Tseri, aiming to raise awareness and encourage the public to recycle electrical and electronic devices that can no longer be repaired.

Throughout the campaign, visitors were able to drop off their devices at the specially designated collection point (hook) on site and receive a €5 shopping voucher redeemable in the store.

This initiative highlighted the importance of proper management of electrical and electronic waste, which contains valuable materials that can be recovered and reused, as well as harmful ones that require specialized treatment to prevent them from burdening the environment.

WEEE Cyprus continues to carry out awareness and educational initiatives, helping to make recycling part of everyday life and supporting the sustainable management of electrical and electronic waste in Cyprus.
